Procursea launches AI-powered app that saves superyacht crew hours per week on procurement admin
Tech start-up Procursea has launched a new app and platform that helps crew manage inventory, procurement, and requests for quotes (RFQs) by giving access to a growing database of nearly 10,000 vetted suppliers globally. The app allows crew to automate RFQs to suppliers listed in the database and then receive a standardised set of quotations. This cuts the time spent on identifying suppliers, contacting them, and then sorting through replies.
"Superyacht crews waste hours sending individual emails and comparing inconsistent vendor responses," said Procursea Founder Jake Robles, a former Royal Navy IT officer and superyacht Electro-Technical Officer (ETO). "Procursea lets crew members select the items they need and trigger RFQs to multiple suppliers with a single click, saving hours of desk work every week."
RFQs can be sent to suppliers at a port in advance of a superyacht’s arrival, ensuring provisions are ready upon arrival, even in unfamiliar ports of call.

The crew can even add new suppliers and vendors to the global database, which means superyacht crew are effectively sharing information on trusted suppliers in new locations. "Superyachts often venture to remote locations where traditional supplier networks don't reach," added Robles. "Our platform leverages industry word-of-mouth by allowing crews to upload local finds for future voyages and share insights across a close-knit industry."
Procursea also offers crew members a quick and easy system for entering items into the provisions list. Using a mobile phone camera, crew members can scan items directly to generate standardised entries in requisition lists and request quotes within seconds. AI tools analyse image data to auto-populate product specifications, eliminating manual data entry.

In addition to a large global database of suppliers and an automated RFQ system, Procursea offers a new way to add items to a superyacht’s inventory list. The AI image scanner allows crew to simply take a photo of a needed item, instantly add it to the stores list, and initiate an order within seconds.

Captains and yacht managers can therefore monitor department spending against real-time budgets, streamline required quote thresholds, and track outstanding invoices within a unified interface.
Procursea says its new app and platform are now available for immediate distribution and onboarding for superyacht crews, captains, and management companies worldwide.
