Ferretti Group plans to build superyachts up to 100 metres
Ferretti Group has announced the first Special Economic Zone single authorisation in the Port of Ancona, allowing the Group to expand its Ancona Superyacht Yard, which will accommodate construction of superyachts up to 100 metres LOA from the previous limit of 90 metres. In a statement, the Group said that construction will take approximately six months, with an estimated impact of €30 million.
The Group said that this expansion in size capability will broaden future product development and enhance its capacity to compete for increasingly ambitious projects, where exceptional design, engineering sophistication, technological innovation and manufacturing excellence are decisive competitive advantages.
“Our ambition is not simply to build bigger yachts. It is to build the world’s most desirable yachts — setting new standards in design, quality, technology and innovation,” said Ferretti Group Global CEO Stassi Anastassov, who praised the speed at which the application for expansion was approved.

The 70-metre Cerulean is the latest launch from CRN
The Ancona Superyacht Yard, the original location of the CRN brand, is a key site for Ferretti Group’s large yachts in steel and composite. The Yard covers 80,000 square metres. The extension to 100 metres provides greater flexibility for future projects, expands the range of opportunities Ferretti Group can pursue and signals an intent to build more ambitious superyachts. The largest superyacht listed by CRN is 80 metres LOA.
The authorisation, signed on 21 October 2026 by Giosy Romano, Single Coordinator of the ZES (Special Economic Zone) for the Mezzogiorno, and Mirco Carloni, President of the Autorità di Sistema Portuale del Mare Adriatico Centrale, is the first issued under the ZES single-authorisation framework in the Port of Ancona following the extension of the measures to The Marche Region. The process was completed in 54 days.
